“Non Equilibrium Internal Forces in Brownian Systems”

Title: Non Equilibrium Internal Forces in Brownian Systems.
When: Thursday, September 26, (2019), 12:00.
Place: Department of Condensed Matter Physics, Faculty of Sciences, Module 5, Seminar Room (5th Floor).
Speaker: Daniel de las Heras, Department of Physics, University of Bayreuth, Germany.

We present a complete classification of the nonequilibrium internal forces in Brownian systems based on the direction of the force and its behavior under flow reversal. We show how to measure the different types of forces in computer simulations and present a power functional theory that reproduces with high accuracy the simulation results. The analysis on nonequilibrium forces in inertial (classical and quantum) systems based on power functional theory will also be discussed.
